How to Care for Hardwood Flooring
Cleaning - Always use a damp cloth to blot spills or spots as soon as they happen, sweep, dust, or vacume floors on a regular basis, and avoid cleaning with oil-based, wax, and polish. Don't use steel wool or scouring pad, this will scratch the surface of your hardwood flooring.
Use floor mats, and floor protectors for furniture to avoid scratching the hardwood flooring, avoid sharp objects, and watch your pet's feet, these can leave indentation in the hardwood flooring.
How to Care for Vinyl Flooring
Cleaning - Use a damp mop with recommended cleaner, avoid scrubbing, too much cleaner will leave a dull residue. Use non-staining mats on your vinyl flooring, do not use rubber-backed, latex backed or cocofiber mats on your flooring, they will stain or damage the surface of your vinyl flooring.
How to Care for Laminate Flooring
Cleaning - Vacume laminate flooring with a wand attachment, use a dust mop or damp cloth for general cleaning. Wipe up spills immediately with a damp cloth, or sponge.
Do not use soap based detergents or mop and shine products, it will leave a dull residue on flooring, avoid abrasive cleaners, wax or polish.
How to Care for Tile
Cleaning - when cleaning wall tile use a damp cloth or sponge, sweep or vacume flooring tiles, then use a damp cloth. Grout should have a sealer to protect from every day maintenance and cleaning.
