Installing Your New Laminate Flooring

It might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but flooring installation is definitely something you’ll have to consider once you’ve purchased your new flooring. Some homeowners are opting to install it themselves, turning it into a nice DIY project, but others prefer a professional installation. And we don’t blame them.

A professional flooring installation is definitely the way to go! Not only does a group of experienced, professional laminate floor installers take care of the job for you, there are no worries that something might go wrong. While it is basically an easy job, accidents can happen! You might cut a piece too short, measure wrong, or any one of a hundred other things. For the perfect laminate flooring installation, we do offer a few tips to make the experience as easy and worry-free as possible. We want to make sure our installers aren’t anymore disruptive than absolutely necessary.

You’ll want to make sure you are at home at the time the installers arrive for the installation. While your help won’t be needed, it’s possible you’ll be consulted about any last minute changes, or any questions the installers have about the job.

Another important aspect of the process is to make sure that your pets and children do not have access to the area where the professionals are working. Their safety is of the utmost importance to us, and we do not want them happening upon any tools or pieces of stray flooring that could inflict injury.

Prior to the arrival of the installation professionals, you’ll want to make sure you remove any furniture, appliances and other furnishings, as well as any old flooring that needs to be taken up. It’s possible that some subfloor preparation will be necessary as well, but you will be informed of this.

Finally, make sure that there is a space nearby the area to be floored that the installers can use as their workspace.
